Manor Komar
The village Murovani Kurylivtsi located on the banks of the river Zhvania 45 kilometers from the Mogilev-Podolsky and 100 km from Vinnitsa. The first mention of the settlement dates back to the 13th century.
Historical information about Manor Komar
The original name of this place was Churilovtsy, it comes from the names of the founders, later renamed Kurylivtsi and after Polyanovsky magnate in the middle of the 16th century built a stone castle ("Moore"), near the village there was the modern name. This place remembers many historical moments. The landowner Stanislav Komar received the estate of Catherine II. Here in 1807 was born a beautiful daughter Delphine Potocka by her husband, who later became the muse of Frederick Chopin and inspired the composer to write a musical masterpieces.
The location and the architectural features of the estate Komar
The palace was built in 1805 on the remains of the old 16th century castle, which served as the foundation and the stone bastion for new construction. They harmoniously fit into the overall ensemble of the estate. On the side of the main facade overlooking the strict two-storey building with a circular fountain at the entrance. And with the park facade seems an unexpected view of the four floors of the castle terrace with an envelope, which gradually becomes a staircase leading to the park.
This partially preserved park art marvel deserves a separate story. The palace and the park shares the ditch, through which built a stone bridge with railings, fences terraces repetitive elements. Many huge boulders along the park alleys, centuries-old trees and large create a sense of monumentality and grandeur, which highlights the stone furniture, along the way. The special atmosphere gives the river, which flows into several streams, creating cascades of water.
