Memorial complex of Fame

The memorial complex "Glory" exists in every city in Ukraine, Vinnitsa was no exception. The opening of the complex took place in 1958 with the aim to honor all the fallen soldiers of the fatherland. The monument is located in the park Kozitsky.

How does the memorial complex "Glory" in Vinnitsa

The monument consists of three figures belonging to different times: Red Army soldiers in a characteristic hat-bogatyrke with a star fighter with helmet in hand, a sailor with patrontashnoy ribbon on the chest. Serious faces, expressing the willingness to stand up to the end of their homeland, their descendants recall the courage of the fallen heroes. All four-meter figure made of copper and mounted on a reinforced concrete pedestal. At the foot of the heroes burning Eternal Flame - symbol of memory of the unforgettable feat. Rounding out the range of 18 granite slabs, located at the foot of the monument, carved with the names of the soldiers who defended the country. Next to the memorial are the graves of partisans who fell in the struggle against fascism.

The creators of the monument began VV Spuskanyuk and YM Kulenko. For the edification of posterity on one of the monuments of the complex there is an inscription: "Courageous guerrillas Vinnytsia."

Donated residents of Vinnitsa during the October Revolution, many lives claimed the Great Patriotic War. Hard was given during the occupation, because the rate was close to Hitler. Near the town housed a concentration camp. The Germans destroyed more than 40 thousand civilians and another 13,000 were taken to Germany. But the troubles were not able to break the will of the victory of the Soviet man.
