Monument partisan Bevza

In 79 of the last century in Vinnitsa a monument to Ivan Vasilyevich Bevza. The monument is situated in the heart of the city, near the building of the regional court.

The history of the monument to partisans Bevza

Originally future hero was from the Krasnodar Territory. In 1919 IV Bevz became a volunteer in the Red Army. From 1927 he served in Zhmerinka, then was a party worker in Mogilev-Podolsk th and Vinnitsa. In peacetime, he became the head of Drama, and later - the director of the library. During World War II, Ivan went to the partisans, where he soon became the leader of the movement. In summer 1942 he was arrested and the Germans shot six months later. In 1965 Bevza named a Hero of the Soviet Union.

The monument is in the form of a bust, put on a high four-sided pedestal. It is located in the park of the cinema "Russia". By the monument is constantly bring fresh flowers.

In memory of the partisan it was named the street of the city. The winery has survived the building where the headquarters of the underground organization under the direction of IV Bevza. Today there is a plaque that tells about it. Vinnitsa remembers its heroes!
