Epiphany Church is an important dominant Ostrog fortress that in Rivne region.

History of the Church of the Epiphany

It is not known exactly when the temple was built. It is believed that the church was built in about 1521 on the site of the old wooden church. At least such date is indicated on a frame temple loopholes. Basil Ostrog church built to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Orsha.

Temple began to decline when in the 17th century local princes, including Anna Ostrog, switched to Catholicism. Church of the Epiphany even subjected to anathema. About 200 years the church was empty and destroyed.

In 1886, the church began to rebuild under the guidance of architect V. Tokarev. To restore the survivors remained only the northern wall. For five years the copy was made trohnefnoho, chetyrehstolpny five-domed church, typical of the ancient sacred buildings. But lost Gothic elements that provided Epiphany Church originality. Instead, there were elements of fashion in the 19th century Byzantine style. Inside was carved iconostasis work of artists from St. Petersburg. After such a "restoration" church ceased to exist.

In 1980 pozolotyly dome, so the church looks like new.

There is evidence that the Church of the Epiphany is the burial Basil of Ostrog Constantine and Basil of Ostrog.
