Monument of Glory, Rovno

Glory Monument in Rovaniemi is practically on the eastern outskirts of the city. The grand opening was held on May 9, 1985, the 40th anniversary of Victory Day. The authors of this monumental project, without exaggeration, became a sculptor and architect Vasily Vinaykin Yuri Moskaltsov.

The architectural ensemble of memorial

Inside the memorial is an obelisk, which has a height of 48.5 meters and had to be stylized flag. At the bottom of the obelisk located sculpture height 8 meters. It consists of three bronze figures, soldier, partisan and girls.

Along the wall is located in the basement relief of 18 figures on the war. Before the obelisk is the Eternal Flame and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Behind are the platform on which are samples of military equipment: tanks, self-propelled guns and installation jet.

From the streets of Kostroma is the entrance to the memorial. To climb the monument of Glory, you will need to overcome a hundred steps.

How to get there

Glory Monument in the park located between the streets of Kiev and Kostroma. Opposite is Rivne Regional Hospital. To get here you can either on your own car or bus. Logging out need to stop "Regional Hospital".
