Elias Church, Ternivka
In the early 20th century in the village of Ternovka Zaporozhye region was built Elias Church. At the entrance to the village of travelers meets a huge blue dome Elias church.

Money for the construction of the church were donated by landowner Protopopov. This church was one of the first stone structures erected in Ternovka. With the advent of Soviet power in 1917, the church was abolished and turned into a cinema. The interior of the temple destroyed, and paintings and frescoes painted over.

Today the church is working normally, but the worshipers in it a little bit.
Interesting facts about Elias Church in Ternovca
The construction of the temple were in 1904. One of the local either history or legend, the church was engaged in painting himself Viktor Vasnetsov.
According to one version, St. Elias Church is a miniature copy of the Kiev temple decoration which is also engaged in Vasnetsov.
The dome that adorns the temple now, was built not long ago. It is an exact copy of the original and weighs eight tons. On the day of the solemn installation of the dome rose a strong wind, and workers are not seriously worried about the result of the planned event. When unabashed rector of a prayer, the wind died down and the workers were able to complete the installation of the dome. Then again rose hurricane.
