Saltworks, Valley
Old saltworks in the Valley is a unique monument of industrial architecture of Ukraine 19th - early 20th centuries. It is almost the only example of this type of buildings that have survived to this day and which are used as intended.
The structure of the saltworks
Saltworks - is a complex of buildings: Brewing with salts, body manipulation, placement under salt warehouse, mines and other office and commercial facilities for the factory workers. The complex includes three interconnected workshops. Warehouses are well preserved, and Brewing, unfortunately, no, it was only by a pitiful skeleton of the skeleton and a large valve in the middle of the oven. The walls are broken, and the roof is almost completely collapsed.
Scheme of the saltworks
Salt storage building is shaped like a rectangle with the corridor layout. The brine from wells fed through a chute into the cooking, after piecemeal tsren served in 5-hour residue. The bins are usually kept daily stock.
When the crystallization starts, the room was sealed and allowed to digest brine solid. Then, the obtained salt is dried in barns and transferred for storage as finished product.
