Jubilee Stadium, Sumy

In the central part of Sumy is a stadium "Jubilee." We built it to the 10th anniversary of Ukraine`s Independence Day.

History of Sumy Stadium

Earlier this place was the stadium "Spartak". He was consolidated after the war, in 1949. This sports arena in 1968, has undergone extensive renovation, and in the 80s of the 20th century it was demolished to build a new stadium "Jubilee," which would have housed 35 thousand visitors.

Designed the new stadium architect Vladimir Bykov and John Lucas. Building the future of the stadium "Jubilee" began Sept. 2, 1999.

September 20, 2001 opening ceremony of the sports arena. However, construction work was unfinished: the night before the opening of asphalt have made, doroblyaly roof.
