Museum-Estate of Nicholas Uhryniv-Immaculate

Part of the museum complex of the city Rohatyn is a museum-estate of Nicholas Ugrin-Immaculate. It was an outstanding leader of Galicia, and in the museum operating since 2004, collected items and materials about the life of himself and his contemporaries: Grits Roman architect, artist Vladimir Balyasa, Julian Pankevich and Edward Kozak.

The famous Nikolai Ugrin-Sinless

Nikolai Ugrin-Sinless was a poet, novelist, playwright, photographer, publisher and teacher. He was engaged in social activities, he has been an active participant in the national liberation movement. The Rohatyn taught at a private school, which was one of the most powerful institutions of Galicia. During the First World War he was in the ranks of riflemen. During the Second World War he joined the Ukrainian division "Galicia.

Nikolai Sinless Ugrin-published magazines and books he wrote. So, in 1936 he published his "Grammar of Ukrainian literary language" in collaboration with Anton Lototskii.

The museum also has a folk art, ethnographic materials, representing one of the most picturesque regions of Ukraine - Rogatyn Opole.

You`ll see the layout of the medieval Rohatyn and a real rarity - an icon of the 18th century "Christ Pantocrator".

A separate exposition is devoted Roksolana - Nastya Lisovskaya, who was one of the women of the 16th century. There are reproductions of lifetime portraits of Roksolana and her husband, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
