Church of St. Michael of Tver, Nikolaev

Church of St. Michael of Tver is one of the oldest temples Nikolaev, it is already more than two centuries. Just in time for its 200th anniversary, in 2012, the church was restored and brought to the parishioners in all its glory, with renewed domes.

Even in the 16-17 centuries in the Great Spit on the site of the present temple was a small wooden church, built by the Cossacks. In the late 19th century, the church was reconstructed - the bell tower was built. The power of the Board closed the temple, like many other churches. There were a warehouse and pantry, and even a prison.

In 1950 the church reopened, at that time there was no bell tower, no domes ... Restoration of St. Michael`s church began in 2000: Finish the bell tower, upgraded dome, painted the walls, put in order the yard. Now the temple is a believer.
