Church of Elijah the Prophet, Ingulka

In Nikolaev region there is a small village Ingulka with a population of just over two thousand people. But people managed to build the world the beautiful Church of Elijah the Prophet. The traveler can see from afar her bright green dome.

The history of the village begins in the 19th century - it was founded by the Bulgarians. Later we moved here state peasants from the Poltava province. Then it was two settlements - sucks and Bogdanovka. For a long time the settlement was of military status. Of course, in the village with the history of the Orthodox church it was functioning and parochial school with him. According to some reports, during the Holy Prophet Elijah the name of the church was built in 1892, but she did not survived.

Already in the years of independent Ukraine in the village began to build a new church of the Prophet Elijah. A lot of effort put into it the local priest, Father Victor - he ordered and manufactured building project. The funds collected at the temple parishioners themselves, from donations. It was built with the master of the Western Ukraine.
