Small opera, Kiev

Small Opera is located near the Lukyanovskaya area in the city of Kiev . This building was constructed in 1902, it was to serve something like the Palace of Culture.

Externally, the building was carried out in the style of Russian architecture. At first glance it might seem that the house is not very big, but in fact it was placed in the hall of 600 seats. All holidays and Sundays are held various events, concerts and performances for ordinary people. In addition to the audience hall in the building were also free and library, dining room, office for legal aid were all sorts of classes for older visitors. Also in the room you could find a book store and overnight shelter for the peasants, who needed somewhere to spend the night when visiting the city.

The city developed in 1910 and first staged in Kyiv cinema here. Until 1917, the building still conducted numerous cultural events and concerts. In Soviet times, it is simply closed. Later on its territory opened a club and then transferred into the possession of Lukyanovka tram depot. Employees of the institution made it their home culture. In 2005, the authorities in Kiev a decision was made ​​to hold the reconstruction of the building, and in 2006 decided to create the room Minor opera Kiev. While repairs were carried out, the building served as a place of installation of banners and various advertising. In 2012, the Small Opera opened.

Kiev Opera has a large and a small hall, which hosts various concerts, exhibitions, performances, film presentations and other events.
