Historical and archeological complex

Liubech - a city which has arisen in the beginning of our era. It was first mentioned in chronicles in 882, when he was captured by Prince Oleg. From that time began the formation of the Slavic lands. Liubech rich variety of attractions and legends. There once lived Prince Volodymyr the Great and his family, in this place were two miraculous icons, namely in Lyubech born Anthony of the Caves, Nikitich and many other prominent personalities.

The main attraction of the city was opened in 2008 Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex "Ancient Liubech." He united several unique places, telling about Ukraine different times.

Included in the complex outstanding location:

  1. The first object that is worth seeing the traveler - a shaft. Earthwork - the only thing that remains of the once great castle-fortress. Climbing up to the mountain of the Castle , in addition to the earthworks, worth seeing two monuments at the top and at its base. The monument was erected in order to perpetuate the year of the first mention Lubech Congress and the Grand Dukes in it. Still should enjoy views of Bald Mountain view from the top of Castle Hill.
  2. In the center of the village is the Transfiguration Cathedral , whose construction dates back to the 19th century.
  3. Apart from the cathedral several ways, one of them leads to Kamenica Paul Polubotko . It dates from the late 17th - early 18th century.
  4. Many travelers are interested in a place where there was Antoniev Monastery.
  5. It is interesting to explore the two caves associated with the name of St. Anthony. The cave, called the neighbor, is within walking distance of Kamenica Polubotko and until further have to walk. Near the caves there is the source from which he drank water Antony, where he took water, and to his monastery. Today, the creek is designed as well, and the water is considered to be curative.

All of this can be viewed independently or by contacting the employees of the museum complex. The museum offers a choice of six tours, lasting about three hours each. Complex works seven days a week from 8:00 to 17:00.
