Baturyn Archaeology Museum
Museum of Archaeology Baturin first opened its doors to visitors 22 January 2009. The opening was timed to the 300-year anniversary defense Baturina in 1708.

The museum exhibition
The basis of the museum consists of approximately 300 objects that were found during excavations in Baturin and its surroundings. The exhibition is presented in three small rooms and was built in three thematic areas:
- "Baturin old." This exhibition presents monuments from ancient times to the 14th century. This subjects the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages, Kievan Rus. The most interesting exhibits are the fragments of old molds in which you can see firsthand what buttons were centuries ago. Also visitors interested in a variety of Old Russian jewelry and household items;
- "Baturin Cossack era." The exhibition is dedicated to the Lithuanian-Polish and Cossack period; covers the period from the 14th century to 1669. Here you can see products of local artisans, the Cossack way, copies of maps that reveal to us the story of the Cossack Baturin. Unique exhibits are silvered knight belt, silver thaler (coin) in 1662, insurgent weapons and Cossack boots;
- "Baturin - Hetman residence." Dedicated to the brightest and most interesting period in the history of Baturin. From 1669 to 1708 in the residence of the captains, Damian Mnohohrishny, Ivan Mazepa and Samoilovych. While Baturin was the center of political, economic and cultural life of Hetman. Unfortunately, the day did not survive no city map, so the contemporary architecture Baturin known only from archaeological materials. Separately presented findings from the Baroque Trinity Cathedral and Palace of Ivan Mazepa. November 2, 1708 Baturin razed to the ground troops of the Russian Empire under the command of Alexander Menshikov.

Baturin is on the border of Chernigov and Sumy regions. Distance to Bahmach (district center) - 25 km to the nearest railway station ( Bahmach-passenger ) - 19 kilometers. It trains depart for Kyiv , Lviv , Kharkiv , Sumy , Moscow, Ivano-Frankivsk , Fastova , Shostka .
