Lake Cahul

The lake is located near the village of Upland Odessa region. Part of the lake is located on the territory of Moldova. Scenic views and warm water with wild beaches attract visitors from all around. The maximum depth of the lake is 30 meters, muddy bottom, closer to the shore turning into sand. Located near the pond canyon, crossing a small hill, with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.

Basically Lake Cahul enjoys attention in the hot summer months, at other times of the year on its banks can meet fishermen from the local community. Here the usual catfish, pike, bream, carp, grass carp and other fish species. This is a nesting place of many birds. In the limestone rocks you can see their nests.

Where to stay in Lake Cahul

There are several places for swimming, but they are better to ask the locals - so save time searching for a suitable parking space. The infrastructure is very poorly developed. If you want to come here with an overnight stay, it is worth to take the tent and non-perishable food. In the village there are shops Nagoronoe, but it still needs to be reached.

With young children should not go here, because there are rocks, cliffs, and the water opaque. But the rest are still beautiful. That only is the sunset on the lake Cahul!
