Zatysyansky museum, Tisobiken

Zatisnyansky History Museum - is a historic complex in the village Tisobiken, which opened its doors to visitors in 1970. This museum has received the name because of its location across the river Tisza.

The exposition of the museum of local lore

Zatisnyansky History Museum tells the visitor about the history of the region, as well as the life and customs of Hungarians in Transcarpathia. Here you will find:

  • House of the poor - the building in 1918. Already on material and size of the house you can easily determine the social status of its inhabitants. The roof of a hut covered with reeds, and covered the floor rammed clay, and the walls were built of twigs bushes and treated them with clay. The house is erected in such a way that in the event of floods, which are characteristic of Transcarpathia, it can be easily restored. The poor man`s hut History Museum was moved in 1975.
  • The house of a wealthy farmer - is built in the late 19th century, it was completed in 1882. It belonged to Joseph Biki. The house is divided into several parts: living room with veranda, kitchen, where the stove is located, and in the rear - storage facilities. It should be noted that the construction of the house to use almost the same materials as the poor man`s house, except for the walls in the house of Joseph Biki them are made of wood. An interesting fact is that when the structure was transported to the museum its first dismantled and then reassembled. The whole building belongs to the objects of folk architecture of the late 19th century and was typical of the north-eastern part of Hungary.
  • The village school was built in 1920 and was located in a neighboring village. The structure is divided into several parts: the school building, where students receive education from the first to the sixth grade, located behind the outbuilding where the teacher lived with his family. It included a kitchen, bathroom and hallway. The school was moved to the museum in 1976. Danae construction was typical for Transcarpathia the mid-19th century.

In the 19th century, near the place where now located Zatisnyansky museum, it was the palace complex graph Fogoroshi, built it was in the 1890s. It has survived the palace and park with old trees and a family Palatine Chapel, now in her acts Greco-Catholic Church.

The museum exposition is divided into several thematic exhibitions:

  • folk pottery;
  • Furniture in the style of Viennese baroque;
  • Hall souvenirs.

Basically Zatisnyansky regional museum specializes in collecting, restoration and protection of valuable household goods, as well as the local architecture of the past centuries. It is worth noting that on the basis of the museum operates a conference room for 50 people, there is possible to conduct seminars, workshops and training activities. For the cultural program can be organized in the evening in the Hungarian folk style.

How to get to the museum

Get to Zatisnyanskogo regional museum can take a bus from the nearby village of Vinogradov. The museum is located in the center of the village, to get here you need to walk along the main street Tisobiken in the direction of the village Pyjterfolvo, then turn right and walk to the end of the adjacent streets.
