Mica Mountain Mare (Neneska)

Mountain Mika-Mare - is the pinnacle of which is located on the border of Ukraine and Romania in the Rakhiv district of Transcarpathian region. It is part of the mountain massif Hutsul Alps. mountain height is 1815 meters.

What to see on the mountain

Like other mountain peaks in the Carpathians, on the mountain Mika-Mare deserves special attention its nature. Up to a height of 1400 m grow coniferous and beech forests, are located above the meadows. Mika-Mare Top (Neneska) is part of the main ridge Marmaroshskogo array. It then passes the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The southern, northern and north-eastern slopes of the mountains of the most steep, while the western and south-east are more gentle. Mountain Neneska gives rise to a plurality of streams that flow into the river and Schaul Leshets.

History of the name Mika-Mare

Mountain Mika-Mare among the local population is best known as Neniska that a local Hutsul adverb means "aunt". Mika-Mare - a Romanian name. It belongs to it once small and large heights. Literally translated as "low" and "high".

Routes

Mountain Mika-Mare in the Ukrainian Carpathians located within Marmaroshskogo reserve area . After the summit are hiking trails that capture and Nenisku and Mount Steavul.

5 km to the south-west is located the highest peak Marmaroshskogo reserve area - Farkeu, but it is the territory of Romania.

How to get there

The nearest mountains from Mika-Mare village Bohdan Rakhiv district is located 12 km from the summit. You can get here on the bus service from Rahova - nearest district center, but also take advantage of the private car.
