Autumn. Right time for a spa vacation
The word “spa” is extremely popular today. Signs running the following: “day spa”,
“spa centre”, “spa hotel” – can be found almost in every town. But not so many know the real meaning of this word. As it happens Spa is a small
town in Belgium famous for its unique healing springs. Their properties were discovered by the ancient Romans, and in the 14th century the town became a popular spa
resort.
Today, a lot of tourists come to Spa. The city is famous for its mineral springs and
charming nature. Its infrastructure is constantly being developed. Modern spa centres and hotels with a wide range of services to improve health are built in the town. Each cottage
complex, hotel or centre offers its visitors individual treatment programs.
However, there are
many other popular spa resorts, among which Evian-les-Bains located on the southern shore of Lake Geneva should
be noted. It is here the world famous Evian Royal SPA is located. This centre uses the latest
technologies in the field of mud therapy and spa treatments. Mineral water of the resort is a good choice for people who need a treatment of the digestive system, reproductive system
and removing toxins from the body.
Spa rest is also available in Ukraine. Its spa
resorts are in demand here. One of the most famous ones is located in Transcarpathia. Spa resort Shaian stands on the
banks of the Tisza River, surrounded on three sides by peaks of the Carpathian Mountains, so unique mild climate reigns here. The average annual temperature is +9 ° C.
On its territory, sources of calcium carbonate mineral water are located. Such water is
widely used in the treatment of various diseases of stomach, digestive diseases, diabetes, as well as to restore the vitality of the organism as a whole. In Shaian area, unique
mineral water known as Shayanska is produced.
Shaian is popular among tourists both
in summer and in winter. In warm months, guided tours through castles, historic sites and monuments of Transcarpathia are organised. You can also rest next to the lake, go
fishing, boating or use a catamaran. Hiking is popular as well. In winter, Shaian turns into a small ski resort. Flat slope good for children and beginners is available there. In
addition, you can enjoy winter fishing.
Infrastructure is well developed in Shaian.
Cottages, hotels, guest houses, mini-hotels, resorts, cafes, bars and restaurants offer their services. A budget room costs about 200 UAH, and a big comfortable apartment can be
rented for around 800 UAH. To get to the town, you can take any train in Uzhhorod direction. For this, you should buy a ticket to the city of Khust. Then take a taxi or taxi bus to
Shaian. It may take about an hour.
Modern spa resort is a great opportunity to regain strength,
improve your health and have a good rest, no matter what time of year.
