"Constellations. Yuri Egorov, Roitburd "in Dymchuk Gallery, Kyiv

March 18 Dymchuk Gallery presents a new project called "Constellations / Constellations». The project will consist of a series of exhibitions, each of which will feature the works of two artists - one of the modern Ukrainian artist and one representative of the so-called "non-conformist Odessa" 60-80 years.

Over the years 2015-16 Dymchuk Gallery plans to hold a series of exhibitions, which will be presented paintings and drawings, sculptures and objects, as well as archival photographs, fragments of interviews and memories of artists and their contemporaries.

Thus, the gallery will initiate the project, a study designed to build a certain relationship between contemporary artists and nonconformists, whose main task is destroyed by the Bolsheviks continued the modernist tradition. This "return" of the history and restoration of the lost links is very relevant and timely task. Especially in a situation where the history of modern Ukrainian art continues to prevail in the form of an oral giving and is in search of its own roots and traditions.

The first exhibition of the series "Constellations" will present the work of two outstanding artists in Odessa - Yuri Yegorov and Alexander Roitburd and will be called "Constellations. Yuri Egorov, Roitburd. "

The exhibition will feature new works by Alexander Roitburd and about a dozen works of one of the most prominent representatives of the Odessa school, who not only created their aesthetics, but also formulated the theoretical basis of the characteristics of this school of painting - Yuri Yegorov.

In addition, the exhibition will be available with archival interviews with Egorov and Roitburd, memories of Roitburd A. Yegorov, and other archival materials.

Yuri Yegorov and Alexander Roitburd, without exaggeration, be called the leaders of his generation, an artist who not only managed to develop a unique artistic language, but also to influence a whole generation of artists in Odessa. That is why the constellation of works by these artists offers a series of exhibitions "Constellations".
