Art project "Lustration", Ivano-Frankivs'k
Yuri Bakay in the project "Lustration" which consists of two parts (17.03-31.03 - Gallery "Ar on the wall," TC "Bastion" and 17.04-30.04 - IF CCA) means "total installation" is trying to attract the audience`s attention to the choice of base human values - virtues or profit, or betrayal of truth, joy or crime. Remind me of transience and impermanence of material, play with illusions and myths subconscious ask where now hidden beauty. Yet it is elegant, refined, aristocratic ambitious and snobbish. The main idea of the project: mapping the current social trends and attitudes. Lustration (from Lat. Lustratio - purification through sacrifice) as one of the most effective steps towards progress, qualitative changes of success.
Object №1 - «elite" (installation) - Association of the origin and functioning of the bureaucracy in general, in the past and in the present.
Object №2 - installation "bullies" - the attitude to the existing state of society on government-opposition people.
Facility №3 - Photo Object "extradition" - genetic memory includes a number of traditions, relevant "here and now". The refusal of imposing outside liberal fashion trends - such as routine immoral things or surface popsovosti broadcast in public space mass culture.
