Mamaeva Sloboda Cossack Village
Cossack settlement of 17-18 century can be seen with my own eyes in Kiev. This unique cultural and historical complex was reproduced in minute detail recently and has no analogues in Ukraine. The construction of the grandiose project was conducted according to the old drawings and lasted for about ten years. Its first visitors "Mamaev Sloboda" adopted in 2009.
This is not just a settlement, it is harmoniously united arboretum, cultural and educational center, a museum and a great place to stay.
The village is located between the city park and the National Aviation University. The architectural ensemble "Mamayeva Sloboda" totals 98 include windmills, apiary, water mills, Cossack homestead, hut, tavern, shops and piazza.
