The Kyiv Planetarium

Creator of the first planetarium in Ukraine became world-famous astronomer, devoted his life to the study of space, - Sergey All Saints. Grand opening of the institution occurred on 1 January 1952, and the first day of work was attended by over 600 people. At the very beginning of its existence the planetarium had to take a converted room Alexander`s church. However, the science could take a long time from the believers their abode. Soon after the church service in the church resumed, and a planetarium moved to a new location, where it is today.

At the moment, Kiev Planetarium visits are not fewer people than 60 years ago. There have modern equipment, allowing to organize interesting journey through the galaxy. These tours are a great complement school course of astronomy, because especially useful to students.
