Holy Trinity Church in Zhovkva

Trinity Church is located in Lviv, in the small town Zholkva. The Church is so beautiful and original, that it belongs to the masterpiece creations of Galicia. By such a work of art can not pass. The first church was destroyed by fire in 1717. Later, in its place was built a wooden church, which was used for vestry brick. Of particular interest is the iconostasis, located in the center of the church. The main attraction is the value and monumental gilded Baroque iconostasis. A few years ago it was restored and today biblical figures and portrait Zhovkva look very natural. Ably connected with the art of traditional canons of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, so there were smiling faces of the saints.
