Lutsk Gate Olyka

Lutsk Gate is one of the oldest buildings in Ukraine and entered in the register of monuments Olyka.

Entrance gates were erected in the 17th century. They were part of a powerful set of urban fortifications. Strengthening consisted of several rows of earthen ramparts, walls and two gates. Supervised the construction of the family Radziwill family, so all the buildings and fortifications were made in the typical for this kind of style. In all was visible luxury and power, beauty and grandeur. Unfortunately, Lutsk Gate - the only building of fortifications Olyka, which survives to this day. Bunk Lutsky gate tower still stands guard over the city. On the top tier are the loopholes in the form of an inverted keyhole. Now comes the restoration of this unique monument.
