Kunihunda Lake
Cunegonde lake - the largest of Solotvinskiy lakes that are in the Transcarpathian region. In people, this chain of reservoirs called "Ukrainian dead sea" because of the high level of salt in the water - almost 200 ppm. Such a high concentration of the substance gives rise to a feeling of weightlessness bathers during the dive.
Its unusual name of the lake is obliged wife of the king of Kiev Yaropolk. According to legend, the area was a favorite vacation spot of Queen Cunegonde on the way to Kiev.
It is curious that the artificial pond. For a long time at the site of the lake was a salt mine. Inadvertently one working on mine explosion that led to its subsidence. The resulting gap is gradually filled with water, as a result there was one of the most beautiful lakes of Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that the lake Cunegonde, due to its high salinity, currently used for medicinal purposes. Every year, on the waterfront and hundreds of tourists come to improve the cardiovascular, nervous and reproductive systems. Around the lake are pensions, hotels and nursing homes in which everyone can improve their health.
Especially popular Kunigunda summer. On hot days, the water is heated to 25-27 degrees Celsius. This allows the comfort of taking salt baths and mud wraps to do outdoors.
