Brody Raion Museum of History and Ethnography
Local History Museum was founded in 1984 to the 900 anniversary of the city of Brody. Funds of the museum is located in two buildings. The main thing is at the Freedom Square. In the 18th century there was a monastery sisters mourners. And in the years 1882-1918 in session eldership povet Austro-Hungarian Empire. The second division of the museum is located on the territory of Brody Castle .
In museum collections has about 5,000 exhibits. The exhibition includes 43 section and placed in 7 halls of the museum.
Here you can learn about the history of the region since ancient times (from the Stone Age to the Kievan Rus). Submitted to the Lithuanian-Polish period; the reign of the Austrian Empire. Lit and two wars: World War I and World War II. Collected a lot of material devoted to the struggle for independence in the period ZUNR and activities on Brodovschine UPA.
The museum has archaeological sites, the money of different ages, weapons, awards, household items and culture, interesting photos and documents.
