Sculpture of the Virgin Mary located in the picturesque, a legendary place - in the Park "Askold`s Grave" . According to legend, Askold was killed by Prince Oleg of Novgorod. In place of his burial was built the church of St. Nicholas. Now the church rotunda restored and owned by the Greek Catholic community.

Sculpture of the Virgin Mary, made of white marble, was installed directly next to the temple. Later it was moved closer to the Dnieper. Virgin Mary praying - her palms open, she seemed to float in its divine purity.
