St. Elias Monastery

History of St. Elias Monastery in Odessa begins with 1884. In those days, was founded farmstead Athos Elias monastery to help Russian pilgrims, was on his way through South Palmyra Athos and Palestine. They are provided with accommodation, helped draw up documents.

Later, in 1896, when the monastery was built three-altar five-domed church in the Byzantine style. On the right side it was built a chapel in honor of the emperor Nicholas II, who ascended the throne.
