Solar Lake

Solar lake - an artificial lake on the left bank of Kiev. It is located in the area Darnytskyi. The lake was formed during the construction in the 1980s, Kharkov and Poznyaki residential community. It is a former quarry, before there was mined materials for land reclamation area, then it was flooded and turned into a beautiful recreation area. Now on the lake equipped with a sandy beach and it was included in list of centralized urban beaches.

In 2012, it hosted the ecological action - local entrepreneurs released into the water in 1200 in order to clear the carp lake. After all, this fish feeds on shellfish and plankton, because of the abundance which blossomed Sunny Lake water. Also spent cleaning the beach.
