Diamond Lake

Artificial lake located in the Desna district of Kiev, arose during the construction of housing estate Troyeshchyna, in the 1980`s. Earlier in the place of the lake was located peat bog. Lake - a former quarry. Peat, which is mined here, used for land reclamation during construction. Upon completion of the quarry was flooded with water. The maximum depth - 35 meters. This is one of the largest inland lake in the city. It is different and purity of water. Expertise that are held here every year, show that drinking water even at a depth of 3 meters.

On the shores of the Diamond Lake is a pine forest. This is a favorite vacation spot of inhabitants of the area and all of Kiev. Here you can go fishing, cycling and just relax with the whole family.
