Temple of Faith, Hope, Love and Sophia

Temple of Faith, Hope and Charity and their mother Sophia was   built in 2002. It stands on a large square in the shade of thick trees of the old town. Scenic view of the beautiful temple perfectly fits into the architecture of Poltava .

The initiators of the construction were made in conjunction with the city government of Poltava women`s religious communities. The name of the future shrine was selected by name great Christian martyrs, known for his deeds during their lifetime (130s BC).

When you create a temple   were involved in dozens of famous Ukrainian organizations, each of which has contributed to the architectural masterpiece. Artistic director of the project was Anatoly Chernoshchyokov, Chief Architect - M. Pitsyura, painted iconostasis made Lviv talent group "Syayvo" bell cast in the famous Poltava Diesel Locomotive Plant. Pride ringers is the largest bell, weighing 271 pounds.

Priceless landmark luxury temple in the classical style are considered old   icons brought from Pochayevskaya laurel s . Also worth a visit   St. Nicholas Church , which has an interesting architecture and beautiful decoration inside the temple.
