Museum of Aviation and Astronautics, Poltava
Space Museum and Aviation named after Yuri Kondratyuk was opened in Poltava in 1987. It was founded by academics of the city, in the arms of which has been collected an amazing collection of important historical artifacts related to the aerospace theme of the city.
The museum has six halls of different profiles, they are the honored researchers missile and aircraft, collected artifacts space industry. Many items considered priceless exhibition and is an important component in the history of space exploration.
On account of the museum more than 10 thousand scientific meetings held in custody, as well as more than 3 million viewers exposed to exhibits. For a more detailed and interesting acquaintance with such a complex science as aerospace, museum staff have developed a series of films and lectures on various topics. Also here arranged exhibitions related to modern discoveries of the scientific world.
It should be emphasized that the building, which houses the museum, is recognized monument architecture of the national values. It was built in 1811 and is the first fire of the city of Poltava.
