The Museum-Mansion of Ivan Kotliarevsky
The house-museum of the famous Ukrainian writer, the author of the legendary "Aeneid" Ivan Kotliarevsky, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city of Poltava.
Rural hut with a low fence, a shed, a barn and a well was rebuilt in 1969 on the old sketch created by Taras Shevchenko. In the house on the hill Ivanova lived several generations Kotlyarevskaya. Today, in the five rooms of the house, the interior of the era, decorated with antique furniture, memorabilia and artefacts, some of which belonged to the writer himself.
Although the house and not the original structure, but the atmosphere of the place conveys all the richness and beauty of the writer`s soul and Ukrainian traditions.
From the Hull Garden can be reached by public transport to the estate: trolley number 1, 4, 12, bus number 43, 52, taxi number 57, Exit 54 on the need to stop "vul. Pershotravnevoe ", then - about 5 minutes on foot.
