Museum "gunnin Deserts"

Museum

Regional Historical and Memorial Museum "gunnin desert" dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian writer, poet, folklorist and ethnographer Panteleimon Kulish (1819-1897), author of the translation of the Bible into the Ukrainian language, as well as the famous novel "The Black Rada".

Place to build the museum served as farm Motronovka Chernihiv region. It was here that I first met Kulish his future wife Alexandra Belozerskaya. Best man at their wedding was very Taras Shevchenko. Permanent habitat spouses estate became 30 years after the wedding, engaged in furnishing the house Alexandra Mikhailovna. There were always welcome guests, among whom there were Ivan Franko, Marko Vovchok, Taras Shevchenko, Athanasius Markiewicz and other prominent personalities.

The museum is the burial Kuleshov, Hanna Periwinkle (alias wife) and her brother, Vasily Belozersky. The homestead is represented by a museum exhibition devoted to the life and work of Kuleshov and his faithful companion G. Periwinkle. Among the exhibits of the museum occupies a special place towel embroidered with "1894", presented by the spouses to the golden anniversary of their wedding. On the territory of the museum complex planted garden, broken flower beds, which allowed to reproduce authentic farm setting.

Takes visitors to the museum every day except Sunday and Monday from 8:00 to 17:00.
