Holy Mountain, Polupanivka
Not far from the Ternopil in Polupanivtsi is Mount.

Village Polupanivka known since the 16th century, lived here mostly Poles. In the northern part of the village is Mount. Known it since time immemorial. Although the mountain is considered sacred by the Christian, it found the remains of an ancient sanctuary.
From the mountains flow several sources of water which is known for its healing properties. One source flows from the foot print of Our Lady.
Since 1994, the Mount is a landscape reserve of local importance.
In 2010, on Mount opened the Cross. You can see 14 images of Jesus Christ before climbing to Calvary.
What to see in the village
At the root of the Holy Mountain has several churches: the church of St. Joseph and Holy Spirit Church in 1878 (rebuilt from a chapel in 1989).
You can also see memorials to the common grave of Soviet partisans and fellow-villagers who died during the Second World War. There is also a symbolic grave poured Ukrainian Sich Riflemen.
Near the rocks are the remains of ancient temples and some large stones put into place some unknown workers. Mount Polupanivtsi needs of archaeological research. Perhaps scientists will be able to discover hitherto unknown pages of history of this summit.
How to get to Polupanivky
The village is near the road Polupanivka Skalat - Kamenka. Distance to the regional center - 31 km, and the Pidvolochysk - 18 kilometers. Buses to the village of Ternopil AS №2 (street Belogorska 1) and Pidvolochysk bus (street Ternopil, 15). Should go in Skalat direction and exit at the stop "Polupanivka." Mount is located on the northern outskirts of the village.
Along with Polupanivkoyu, near the village of Old Skalat is a geological monument of nature "Great saddle." And near the village Hmelyska recommend visiting Polupanivski beeches.
