Church of the Assumption, Novoselytsia
Assumption Church is located in the center of Novoselitsy - a small village on the territory of Transcarpathian region. Her full name - the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The temple belongs to the small architectural masterpieces of Gothic.
Built the church was in the middle of the 17th century. A distinctive feature of the temple - the presence of a high tower with a sharp spike on the end. The whole building is constructed of oak beams. Next to the church and bell tower is. It has a two-tier plan in the form of a rectangle and skeletal structure.
The walls and the central body of the church painted by masters of the Galician school of painting. This work belongs to the second half of the 17th century. The church was restored several times, so has retained its original appearance almost to our own times.
TserkovUspeniya the Blessed Virgin Mary is an outstanding monument of folk art and architecture of Ukraine. Most large-scale restoration construction was carried out in 1979-1980, respectively. Murals restored a year later. Today the church is a museum of architecture and painting.
