Literary Memorial Museum Juliusz Slovak, Kremenets

On a street in Kremenets   is an old two-storey house. It was built in the late 18th century   in the style of provincial classicism. Once upon a time it was a manor Poles Januszewski. For a time it possessed a professor of Polish literature and rhetoric Euzebiush Slovak. This classic father of Polish literature, the Romantic poet and playwright Juliusz Slovak. In this house, Julius was born in 1809 and spent his childhood and youth. The influence of Ukrainian folk poetry can be traced in many of his works.

During the Soviet era in the empty building housed the town library. In 1969 the house established a marble bust of Julius Slovak.

In 2000, the Polish Ministry of Culture has decided to allocate the money to build this house memorial museum Juliusz Slovak. Two years lasted restoration. In filling the exhibition was attended by local history museum in Kremenets   and the Polish side. Now the museum is working successfully.
