Illia Church, Subotiv

By order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky in 1653 was built Elias Church. It was built as a family tomb. Of the two temples located in Subotiv - Michael and Elias, currently, only one survived. Given The cathedral was built in the style of the Cossack Baroque. At the moment, the temple is an active, although it has a part of the exhibition Subbotovskaya museum . In this cathedral on his own and was buried Bogdan Khmelnitsky. In 1664 the Poles looted tomb. By order of the commander Stefan Czarnecki remains were thrown away, but in the 50s of the 20th century the temple was established symbolizing the tombstone.
