Park "Jubilee"

Park

Park "Jubilee" is located in the city of Cherkassy. Its old name - "Park 50th Anniversary of October." The park belongs to the landscape architecture and is considered the best city park.

Monument "Jubilee" was laid in 1967. The main role in its formation played architect G. Ursaty and engineer Ozelenitel E. Smirnov. It takes quite a large area - 49 hectares coast Dnieper. The park has a system of ponds, water cascade which flows into the great river of Ukraine. In the central part of the system is a small pond, which is decorated with a sculpture of a mermaid. In the park there are about 70 of the most valuable species of exotic trees.

The park also has the original bridge - the bridge "Rainbow" or (as it is called by the people) "Bridge of Love". Through this bridge on the wedding day are newlyweds. In the park "Jubilee" is also an alley sculptures and summer cinema. In 2009, there were carried out extensive cleaning work that gave new life to the park area.
