church history
The wooden church of St. Nicholas in Morivsku built in the late 19th century. In Soviet times the church was closed. Worship services resumed only at the end of the last century, when it was renovated church. Unfortunately, as a result of the restoration of the church lost its historical appearance - painted walls disguised varnished wood paneling and metal roof covered with green tiles.
After the update, the church looked like a country cottage wealthy lord. But local priest made proud - because thanks to him, the church was saved from further destruction. He found a generous sponsor, by means of which the church was restored within its former splendor.
Yet inside the church you can still feel the spirit of antiquity. On the walls hang old icons painted in folk style hexagonal holes in walls and choirs such as forms also recall the traditions of Ukrainian wooden architecture.
