Historical Museum, Starokostyantyniv
Historical Museum is located in Starokonstantinov. It remains a great exposition of historical events in the local region. It is a cultural monument of the city.
History museum
The museum was established in 1932. First exhibition housed in a castle in Starokonstantinov .
The then museum had the following collections:
- Ostrog things: furniture and manuscripts;
- Natural room, stuffed animals and birds;
- Cossack Hall, ammunition soldiers.
In 1954 the museum was closed and all exposure transferred to other similar institutions in Ukraine.
In 1980, the local government decided to create a new museum.
In 1985, the museum began operating history of the land in the city center. Initially, it existed thanks to public activity residents. Then he was given the status of state. During its operation, this museum is visited by many residents of Ukraine and foreign guests.
Historical Museum located in central Starokostiantyniv. This building height of two floors. It was built in the 19th century in the classical style. Initially it was used as gendarmerie.
In 1917, the House was revolutionary committee Starokonstantinov. Then there housed the headquarters of Ukrainian Army officers and other authorities. This house is one of the few well-preserved until today.
