Cottage Museum movie Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors

Carpathian region - a region with extremely beautiful nature. Dense forests cover the mighty mountains. Here everywhere hovering spirit of magic and mystery of their ancestors. Many Ukrainian writers have repeatedly described the splendor and mysticism of these lands.

Here in this wonderful place was a museum of the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors". The museum was opened in 2000 in the Hutsul hut. In this very hut lived during the filming of director of the film S. Parajanov. The director himself wanted to live here. He admitted that since he was able to feel better flavor Gutsulschiny, learn traditions and fed with the power of nature. That`s why the film turned out to be so interesting.

In the museum you will meet the keepers of relics. Museum workers are so passionate about their work and in their land that their tours are goosebumps. Visitors can watch the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" and learn about the history of its creation. Then you can more carefully examine all proposed exposure. On the basis of the hut museum exhibited the following exhibitions: ethnographic heritage Gutsulschiny, Hutsul household items, the life and work of prominent people.

The museum is very interesting and unusual. Visits are possible by appointment only. The cost of a ticket with a guided tour by an average of 40 hryvnia. For an additional fee, you can try Hutsul costume and take photos.
