Church of the Assumption, Verhovina
Urban village Verkhovyna in Ivano-Frankivsk region is famous for its amazing nature, a significant number of architectural attractions, unique flavor Hutsul and wellness climate. There laid the ski slopes and built many recreation centers, specialized health centers. Verhovina name corresponds to the location of the village. Most of the town is occupied by mountain peaks, and one of Priselkov is one of the highest settlements in the country.
It is located Assumption Church, which is ranked as one of the largest religious buildings in Ukraine, made of wood. Landmark is made in Hutsul style, perfectly reflecting the local flavor. The construction of the temple dates back to the 18th century. The rectangular building of the church under a silver roof with four domes is behind a neat wood-carved stone fence and gate of this architecture. The facade of the temple is painted in bright - yellow. Near the church of the Assumption built a wooden three-tiered bell tower. Surrounded by dense tall deciduous trees in the summer or winter wrapped in snow drifts, the church takes on the appearance fabulous home.
