Arbour Glebova

Former estate of the descendants of the Cossack Lizogub in Sedniv that in Chernihiv, is of great interest to tourists and connoisseurs of beauty. Active expansion and settlement of the estate has undergone in the 19th century, when the efforts of Ilya and Andrew Lizogubov was built a new house in the classical style and the increased area of ​​the park. The former estate of more modest size has been involved for household needs. In the estate Lizogubov visited by many prominent cultural figures of his time, including the poet Taras Shevchenko and fabulist Leonid Glebov. On the territory of the park area today preserved lime Shevchenko, whose age is about 600 years old.

Special attention deserves gazebo Glebova, where, according to legend, fabulist wrote one of his most famous works - "grief." Round sloping canopy arbor rotunda rests on eight massive columns, gazebos from beautiful views of the river valley. No wonder Leonid Ivanovich, often spending time visiting brothers Lizogubov, liked to rest in the gazebo, which was and still remains a place of inspiration and romantic mood. In people, this is the place they called "gazebo Glebov," in honor of the famous fabulist.
