In 1895, Belgorod-Dniester was discovered tomb. This two-chambered room was done on a rock on the outskirts of the city. Archaeologists, it was found that there was buried a noble warrior, quite possibly, the leader of the Scythians, who lived at that time in the area of Thira. This place was soon dubbed the Scythian tomb.
The structure consists of two chambers: small and large. Even in ancient times crypt looting. A small camera was almost completely destroyed, and the second was a funeral. In general, the crypt was built from a fairly large limestone slabs: about 3 m in length and thickness of 0.6 to 0.7 m. The ceiling is vaulted in a vault at the back of the ornament has a wood pattern, but scientists are questioning its man-made.
