Church of Our Lady of Kazan, Basivka

The village Basovka a very long time did not have his parish. And only in the early 20th century there was built one of the most beautiful temples in Sumy - Church of the Kazan Mother of God. It   It was built by the community of the village in memory of all those killed in the Russian-Japanese war. In 1912 the temple was consecrated. Its interior is decorated with frescoes and the image of the Holy Trinity.

Over the years, a lot has undergone heavy church. But despite the many repainting the walls still exude the unique frescoes and paintings. Also survived a rare Kharkov tiles on the floor.

This exceptional monument of history and art is legendary. In the center of Basovki majestic dome of the church. But now it is dilapidated. The image of the Holy Trinity, founded at the same time as the church is kept in the museum room of the school.
