Church of the Transfiguration, Krolevec

At the site of the last remaining in Krolevets   before the temple was a wooden church built in 1714. 60 years after it burned down. Then in its place began to build a stone church.   Money for its construction gave the local gentry. The bell tower at the same time remained a wood until 1836, when it was destroyed, and the stone began to build in 1865.

Church of the Transfiguration unchanged in 1849, the same year her and expanded. Later added onto the side of the altar and faceted rotunda. In the early 20th century on the territory of the church there was a small house of the priest, and after a while the whole complex was surrounded by a massive brick fence with a gate and gate.

In the years of famine temple was closed and its dome and bell tower destroyed. The church resumed in 1942, when the Germans occupied the city.

In 2000, the bell tower rebuilt, giving it a maximum similarity with the original. Now the doors are open to the Transfiguration Church parishioners.
