Ozeryanskaya church

Ozeryanske church is dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God, which was found during the raids of the Tatars in Ukraine near the village Ozeryany . Initially,   in the middle of the 19th century was founded a small chapel where the icon was kept. Regular worship in the temple have been started only in 1880. However, the building began to gradually break down and the walls could no longer accommodate all the faithful area, so in 1890 it was decided to reconstruct the temple. Appointed head of the project famous Ukrainian architect Vladimir Nemkin. In 1892 a new church was laid. Basically, the church was built on the donations of people, in order to increase their condition, it was announced that the owner of the largest contribution given the right to choose a saint who devotes temple.

Construction lasted 9 years.   September 23, 1901 the temple solemnly consecrated. The architectural style of the church -   Russian-Byzantine.
