Lutsk Art Museum

Art Museum in Lutsk began its work in 1973. It is located in a historic place - in the Lutsk castle .

Back in 1789 this building housed the county Office of the noble court.

The museum features several major departments. In the department of foreign art you can get acquainted with the masterpieces of art schools in Germany, France, Spain, Austria, England and others. The exhibits cover the period of 17-20 centuries. Here you will learn the basic genres and styles in fine arts.

In the department of Ukrainian and Russian art exhibits are 19-20 centuries. Here you can trace the major steps of development of art in Ukraine. In the pictures traced the history of the country`s major milestones and associated states. The presented works will introduce you to many talented countrymen.

Not so long ago there was a special exhibition of the museum. A new exhibition devoted to Ukrainian portraiture. The basis of the composition included the works of the Radziwill family castle in Olyka. Here you can see the family portraits of the family, made at different times and by different masters.

Art Museum of Lutsk you will find a lot of interesting. It often hosts various festivals and master classes. The museum is open from 10:00 to 18:00, weekends - Monday, Tuesday.
