Trinity Square, Kyiv

Trinity Square is at the center of the modern Kiev . It is here that is the entrance to the stadium "Olympic" and Metro Station. The area appeared in the late 19th century. Since the 1860s, it housed the market here. In the early 20th century, then built the Trinity Church, which has not survived to the present day and the building of the Trinity People`s House, which is now converted into a theater of operetta . In 1913, the market was demolished and in its place built a shopping pavilions. For many years there functioned All-Russian industrial exhibition.

This is the newest part of the old town, an active construction which fell down by 2 half of the 19th century. During the construction, it was called "New building". Most of the buildings that were built in this period, and decorate the area today.

Trinity Square is truly be called Ukraine`s main sports area. Together with the stadium "Olympic" it has become a major attraction for all travelers and sports enthusiasts.
